Hi Friend,
Oh my goodness, God is good! I just wanted to send you an update on how last week went. Because we had our first Almost Home Community Call for our top tier subscribers and it was so encouraging, so much fun, and SO real.
Friday morning, we gathered on Zoom and it was the next best thing to getting together in person. Everyone who showed up said it was uplifting and… it was also SO very encouraging to me. In ways I didn’t even know I needed!
I am just in awe of the way God can use ALL things (even things like the internet) to bring people together when they need each other most.
I am SO grateful for this community that I wanted to make sure I sent out a note to show my appreciation. Whether you’re a free community member (still totally appreciated) or a monthly supporter - I just can’t thank you enough.
We decided up front the conversation Friday would be kept confidential but I found a way to share an element of it with our monthly supporters and I am hopeful it will be uplifting to you!
During our hour together, we each shared things in our lives that have been challenging us. And while there were all sorts of varying degrees of difficulty, I think it’s always so humbling when a group of people comes together and decides to get REAL from the get-go. And that’s exactly what this community did. No masks or pretenses, just a willingness to share in the hard.
I know it’s not always easy and that not everyone was planning on speaking up, but every single person on the call shared… and that is not something to take lightly.
We then each discussed and picked a verse or verses that we think would help us overcome our challenges. And that’s where my gift offering comes in… :)
I then offered to turn these verses into printable graphics (from varying translations) for each person who showed up live on the call. I wanted to make that we each had an easy way to be reminded of the hope we have in HIM, long after our Zoom sesh ended.
